Bonnie has been my amazing perinatal coach. She has helped me before, during, and after my pregnancy with each transition. I am a first-time mom and needed a lot of education, advice, and reassurance. Although I am a nurse, I felt like I still lacked a lot of education as a first-time mom.
Bonnie has been there to guide me every step of the way, ensuring my happy and healthy pregnancy. Good mental health is so important to maintain and keep in balance during each transition, and coaching with Bonnie has helped me maintain that balance. I was able to work through my doubts or fears with Bonnie. She is present, supportive, and non-judgmental. I felt like I could be open about everything and anything. Thank you for everything, Bonnie!!
Before working with Bonnie, I had been dealing with the loss of our unborn baby. During the process, I also found out I would be losing my job.
Throughout this process, Bonnie was able to guide me through the grief process and provide hope. Bonnie's intent listening and engagement through our conversations were comforting. She provided me with coping mechanisms and helped begin the healing journey for me.
I walk away with a sense of encouragement and confidence in creating what's to come.
I have discovered that with time and a deep connection to the spirit, healing from such a loss can be attained. In the midst of one devastation, another loss hit, but Bonnie guided me through this journey and has shown me how to create a more clear picture of who I am and where I want to be.
Before working with Bonnie, I was stuck in a mental rut of not knowing how to get back to the woman I used to be prior to having a baby a little over a year ago at the time we started. My mental talk was that I was never enough, that I didn’t know how to motivate myself or that I wasn’t worth having that time to myself. I obsessed with trying to keep the house clean because I was home often only working 3 days a week, but being a Mom, student and employee, I found it hard to balance it all and try to be an active and healthier person. This created anxiety and more negative self-talk. Bonnie allowed me the time to think through the scenarios in my life that were not serving me and how to prioritize my time. She helped me realize that the tasks I obsessed over were the things that were not only holding me back from the time I could be putting into myself but also taking away from quality time with my baby.
Bonnie also created space for me to reflect on my life and recognize the abundance of my world and the ones I love. It helped me be more present with my life, brought me back to moments in breath and got me back into a morning routine that has amplified my life. I am truly so happy life led me to Bonnie; she has improved my already happy life and given me numerous tools to use when things get a little bit hard to navigate. “
I absolutely adored working with you, Bonnie! You are so intuitive and warm-speaking. I could have talked to you for hours each time we spoke; its just so easy to be in your energy, even over the phone. I appreciated your understanding and flexibility when life happened and we had to reschedule, I appreciate you being an open and loving person with the complexities that I hold within my own life. I felt cared for and able to be vulnerable, which I have to say was my favorite part about our coaching relationship. “ “I have gained so many tools to take life more head on so I don’t “forget about me.” I learned tools to prioritize my time, to ritualize my life, to be present, and to be grateful.” “I discovered that I never was not that woman that I felt like I had lost; she was there all along. I only needed gentle guidance to get my spark back. I also discovered that this is what a life or health coach should be. I went through a program to be a coach and as much as I loved it, I never knew anyone who was coaching that I could admire or look up to. You, Bonnie, are the epitome of what a coach should be and I hope this profession becomes more accessible to people because this type of personal advocate should be there for each person to thrive in their life. I cannot wait to catch up with you, Bonnie; you’ve been a sweet addition into my life.
I appreciated your calm presence each time we met and I never once felt you distracted. You helped me to hone in on specific goals and break them down into clear steps. You asked questions that provoked thought and, without judgement, guided me in self-growth directions. You were fluid and allowed space for goals to morph when “life” happened while still being mindful of the bigger picture. I appreciated your ability to allow silence when a pause may have easily been interrupted but was needed for continued thought processing and organization. I also very much appreciated the validation I felt from you throughout the entire process.
I have learned that what I sometimes hear as cliché or something I might advise others to others also pertains to myself. It is critically important to value oneself and one’s needs; even the needs that may seem frivolous to others may not be to our own selves. Throughout our coaching sessions, a common thread was how important beautiful surroundings were to me. (There’s irony in there somewhere!) Opulence was not necessary, just an appreciation of cleanliness, colors, nature, and form. I learned that my surroundings are critical to these things. They are not just icing on the cake; they are critical. Thank you for this, Bonnie; it’s huge.
I would recommend your coaching to anybody who has a desire to take real steps toward self-improvement and has struggled to figure out how to get on that path and keep the momentum going.
